Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne.
It is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.
What is Harry Potter and The Cursed Child about?
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Is the show appropriate for all ages?
Suitable for ages 10 +. Please note children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
Is there a dress code?
There is no official dress code in Broadway theaters. Smart casual is recommended.
The show has two parts. For performances on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday Parts I and II are on the same day.
Part One: 2 hours and 40 minutes, including intermission.
Part Two: 2 hours and 35 minutes, including intermission.
The ticket price includes both Part One and Part Two.
Where do I purchase tickets for Harry Potter and The Cursed Child?
Tickets can be purchased online right here at places.events. If you would like to purchase tickets at the Lyric Theatre box office, we recommend doing this several days before the performance. Tickets may be sod out for several weeks out during the holiday times.
