The Imperial Theatre is a Broadway theatre located in the Theater District of Manhattan. It is one of the first theaters to be built in New York after the end of the 19th century. The theater is located at 249 West 45th Street. The 1,457-seat theater was built by producer Martin Beck in cooperation with the Shubert brothers. It opened in 1923 with the musical comedy Mary Jane McKane. It was designed by Herbert J. Krapp with an ornate, neo-classical facade and interior.
