The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is one of the most unique museums in the world. It is housed on the aircraft carrier Intrepid, which served in World War II, the Vietnam War and the Cold War.
It is home to the largest collection of military aircraft in the world, as well as spacecraft, naval vessels and interactive exhibits. You can explore the ship's decks, hangar bay, and flight deck.
The Intrepid Museum is also home to the world's fastest aircraft, the SR-71 Blackbird.
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, New York has a wide variety of exhibits, including the Space Shuttle Pavilion, the Concorde and the USS Growler. Enterprise was the first space shuttle to be built, and it never actually flew in space.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum was established in 1982 by Zachary Fisher. Fisher was inspired to restore the USS Intrepid after viewing the movie "Tora! Tora! Tora!" The museum is located on the West Side of Manhattan, New York City, and serves as an educational tool for children about the science of flight and space exploration. The museum has a collection of a copious amount aircraft and spacecraft, the collection being stored in the museum's aircraft hangar spaces and in outdoor display areas on the flight deck and on the pier. The museum also hosts numerous educational programs and events, including the annual Intrepid Women in Aviation Luncheon.
