Since 1987, Knitting Factory Brooklyn has been the borough’s leading music venue, hosting performances by some of the biggest names in indie rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. With a capacity of 600, the intimate club has become a favorite spot for both local and touring artists.

The Knitting Factory is a live music venue and arts space. We book and present cutting-edge music, comedy, and multimedia events, and our space is available for rent for private and corporate events. Since our inception, we have been committed to presenting the best in new music, both from established and up-and-coming artists.
The Knitting Factory Brooklyn is a venue that hosts a variety of live performances. It has two music venues, the Main Hall and the Tap Room, and also features a bar and a restaurant. The Main Hall is a 350-person music venue with a stage, a sound system, and a lighting rig. The Tap Room is a 150-person music venue with a bar and a small stage. And also here we have the art gallery, with all our artists who performed here. It has been the site of performances by a wide range of artists, including Nirvana, the White Stripes, the Black Keys, and Radiohead. Also presented here poetry readings, performance art, standup comedy, and music, whose performers were Lounge Lizards, John Zorn, Dewey Redman, Don Byron, Anthony Braxton, and Cecil Taylor.
