The Lyceum Theatre is a Broadway theatre located at 149 West 45th Street in Midtown Manhattan. It is one of the 40 theatres in New York City that are designated as a Broadway theatre. The building was built in 1765 by architect Samuel Beazley and as a theater it opened in 1809, here was shows dramatic performances. In the beginning, it was a building for art exhibitions, then a museum, and only then became a theater, and now there are the most prominent Broadway productions. The theatre is currently owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group. It is one of the oldest theatres in New York that is still in use.
