The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre,formerly the Biltmore Theatre, is a Broadway theatre located at 261 West 47th Street in the Theater District of Manhattan. Designed by architect and designer Herbert J. Krapp and built by architect Irwin Chanin. It was renamed Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in 2008. The Friedman is one of Broadway's smaller theatres, with a seating capacity of 650. It was the home of the original production of Death of a Salesman.

The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre opened on December 7, 1925, as the Biltmore Theatre, with the play Easy Come Easy Go. The theatre was the Shubert family's first Broadway house. The Shubert brothers producas the American Theatre, ed many of their own plays at the Friedman, as well as shows for other producers. The Friedman has been home to many famous plays and musicals, including Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, and Chicago and several successful Broadway shows, including "The Drowsy Chaperone", "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", "Avenue Q", "In the Heights", and "The Book of Mormon".
