The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is a world-class performing arts center that offers an array of programming for all ages. The center is home to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, The Florida Orchestra and the Orlando Ballet. It also hosts a variety of other performing arts companies, including Broadway Across America, the Moscow Ballet and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The center also offers a variety of education and community engagement programs.

It all began in 1927, when businessman and philanthropist Dr. Phillip Phillips donated land in downtown Orlando for the construction of a community center. The center would include a library, a theater, and a gymnasium.
